I have always had deja vu. But for the past 12 years I have had - TopicsExpress

I have always had deja vu. But for the past 12 years I have had random moments of deja vu that is so severe that I essentially lose my grip on reality and have a hard time telling whether I am dreaming or not. I also lose my position on time and end up with a short term memory span of about 5 mins. Anything that happens out of that five minute range I can barely remember and whatever I do remember I have no idea what order it happened in. This whole ordeal will usually last for four hours To describe it from my perspective. It starts out as a potent feeling of deja vu, while in most cases this feeling fades away in seconds or minutes, for these particular instances the feeling of dejavu never goes away. Which leads to me being massively confused as I cant tell if whats happening around me has happened already or if I am remembering a dream or seeing the future. While that description is typical for deja vu, the part that is a weird is that It last for four hours. One hour of being in this state can only be described as seeing time from the perspective of dr manhattan. It feels as if I am seeing everything at once and there is no past or future just now. (Hence the lost of short term memory.) These episodes are extremely overwhelming and confusing, I generally have to leave whatever I am doing and go home. For awhile I figured these episodes were normal for some people, but in the 12 years I have experienced them I have never met anyone who even understands what I am talking about. Any guesses? Some kind of neaurological issue?minor strokes? ebola?
