I have an announcement to make: My very beautiful Daughter Leah Washburn was proposed to last night by her now fiance Ruben Gomez. This makes me VERY happy! In the last few years I have known Ruben I have always known him to be a stand up guy and someone that I respect dearly. He has been a great Father, Boyfriend and provider, and has shown my Daughter nothing but love and companionship throughout their relationship. Ruben called me yesterday and asked for my permission to marry Leah, and I couldnt say YES fast enough! I love Ruben with all my heart and he has shown that he is the Man for my daughter. Although it breaks my heart to see her all grown up, I know that another Man who I value and trust will be taking care of her. Ruben has made several sacrifices not only to his family, but also to Our Country. Ruben is a decorated Army Vet with medals and awards that cover the walls in their home. Thank you for your service Ruben. I wish them all the best and hope that their marriage will last an eternity, as I know it will. Best of luck to my new Son-in-Law and my daughter Leah. I love you both!
