I have an easy job? yes, its fairly easy all I have to do is smile and be friendly.. However, I also have to deal with a variety of different people everyday; travelers, locals, regulars, and my least favorite rude and demanding. I have to put on a smile for my customers even when I feel down. I have to be patient when my customers lose their patience, I have to be understanding when someone on my side of the counter messes up, I have to be polite when they choose to be rude. So, yes its an easy job with some not so easy moments. Despite those discouraging moments though there are a thousand more that make it all worthwhile. The sweet elderly people that enjoy making small talk, the kids who get excited when you acknowledge them, the appreciation you receive when you go the extra mile and offer a smile. I honestly believe EVERYONE should work fast food at least once in their life. As a cashier and customer I realize I do have it pretty easy but I also know the effort and energy it takes to EFFECTIVELY satisfy my customers and that there is much more to my job than flipping burgers ..anyone that works with the public understands how rewarding and disappointing it can be. The point of my rant is, this job has taught me a few things about myself and a portion of the big world around me. Ive learned to see the good despite all the bad and for this I am thankful ❤
