I have an unknown rough mineral/stone that needs help being - TopicsExpress

I have an unknown rough mineral/stone that needs help being identified. And was seeking input. No it is not for sell, as of yet. Not until it is properly identified. Found as seen in the pictures. No outer crust or shell. It is approx 7-8 pounds. (Llano County, Tx. USA) Some sides are perfectly smooth and are a dark sienna color, almost the color of Rootbeer. One side is very rough, with clear chipped pieces and a light Salmon-Brownish coloration. But what I love about this stone is when you hold it up to a light it glows an orangish red. I had always thought it to be a Fire Quartz. Or a type of natural glass like Obsidian. but I have never seen this color. Then someone told me that most all precious stones look like glass when in their natural, raw state. So it made me wonder. After speaking to a few people and doing online research, we had thought maybe Mexican Fire Opal. But still that is just a guess. Please help me identify it !!!
