I have another question from a member of the Fastpitch TV Family. Lets see if we can get her some great answers from the everyone here. Question: I have an 11 year old girl who has been pitching for about 3 years now. Im not going to lie but it has been hard and very frustrating to get her to do her pitches. She is very strong willed and hard headed. Sometimes its a fight to get her to go in the back yard to throw a few. Her schedule now consists of lessons on Monday. Practice on Tuesday. Wednesday is a break. Two games on Thursday and a tourney every other weekend. When shes not at tourney we have her at the fields practicing. Or if the team doesnt have practice on Tuesday we have her at the fields. Getting her to do that or anything extra is just asking for an attitude or a throw down. We ask her if this is something she wants to do and she says yes but sometimes I wonder if she does this to make me and her father happy. But the thing is, is that she is so good and has great potential to be very good as she gets older. Are we expecting too much from her? Is 11 years too young to be pressuring her to practice? Does anyone else out there in softball world have these same problems or is this normal for an 11 year old girl? Thank you for your time.
