I have bad news fatigue. How about you? Its been a ghastly month in this big wide world. Im not at all sure that were meant to hear about and watch and process every evil thing that happens on this planet. It doesnt mean you dont care, if you filter the flow of painful news to your mind and heart. In fact, I think its a good thing. Im not God and I cant fix most of what I hear and see. I can only help those right in front of me. And thats okay. I think this is why the ice bucket challenge has caught on--its a little dose of good will and light and laughter and community... sort of like a big virtual block party with the wacky neighbors. Long live American do-gooder impulses. This is why we love you!
