I have been able to extend the wireless range of a GoPro Hero3+ by connecting it to a Linksys WRT54G router flashed with DDWRT firmware setup in repeater bridge mode. For some unknown reason after connecting the Linksys to the GoPro via WIFI set with WPA2 AES and then you connect your phone or other device to the Linksys the GoPro will not assign an ip address via DHCP through the repeater bridge. You must set the IP address on your phone, laptop, ipad, etc. manually to be inside the GoPro assigned network of 10.5.5.X. --- With the ability to run the Linksys router on a 12V battery this allows you to use this setup virtually anywhere.
