I have been an advocate for my fellow vets for years; this is a travesty to all those who have served. But foremost a travesty to the greatest generation. These men and women who fought during WW2 and Korea deserve more from us. It is sad to see how low our society has become and how we treat our elderly. I am sad to see that major media has no pulse on another innocent man dying in the hands of hoodlums. This is not about this one man, but the way he died. It is truly noteworthy that our nation morn those killed in violence. When a man who fought for our nation and the liberties we stand is killed where are those media hounds who are looking for noteworthy news helping find the killers of Mr. Belton? Rather than help spread the news of crimes against elderlies and our veteran they look for news that are spectacular and eye catching. I then wonder what spectacular reason we really need to call on our neighbors and the community to pass along this travesty and find justice for this man. He was not only a veteran like me and others; he was someone’s son, uncle, nephew, father, and maybe a grandfather. In the end this act of vile cowards shows the disrespect and the lack of real punishment we give. I pray that this individual was escorted to the gates of St. Peter with other valiant warriors of World War 2. And thanks to all World War 2 and Korean vets for your service in during the world’s greatest conflicts; and to all other vets who serve our nation as vanguards and sentinel of liberty. May justice prevail and find solace for the community and find hope for Mr. Belton. kxly/news/spokane-news/elderly-man-dies-after-being-attacked-outside-ice-arena/-/101214/21574858/-/9flm7iz/-/index.html
