I have been at home for almost a month already! The time has flown by and I wanted to give an update as to what is happening in my journey of life and healing. The busy and noisy sounds of the hospital have been exchanged for the relative quietness of home except for the unwanted sounds of my alarm clock in the morning! I love being back home and reaching over to turn on the Kierig from my bed for my first morning coffee! We have had to make some modifications to our home to accommodate my wheel chair. Because I cannot access the second level of our home where our bedroom is, the dining room has become our new bedroom complete with the bedside Kierig. The changes have made life manageable for me on the main floor of the house. Sue has been amazing in her ability to serve me despite her own health limitations and I could not do this without her. There are some challenges though. Living at home has highlighted many things that I CANNOT do. At the rehab hospital everything was manageable and everything that was expected could be done. At home it was soon to be realized that I couldnt reach higher than the lowest shelf in the cabinets and nearly everything in my garage was inaccessible to me. I have always been able to fix anything in my house or my vehicles and efficiently complete any project and now I am wondering how I will be able to change a light bulb! I realize as always that I need Gods grace to live one day at a time and trust him. The verse In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. comes to mind and now I get to walk it out. My translation is trust Him and He will work it out. I am going to a great physio clinic twice a week that is just 5 minutes from our home. It is called Eclipse Physiotherapy and I would highly recommend it! They have also opened their gym for me to use as often as I want. My goal is to work out four times a week. God is continuing to strengthen my legs and I feel as though I am daily living out a miracle in progress! As you can see in the video that I posted I am continually progressing and getting stronger. Please keep praying and believing!
