I have been calling for this for years. The erosion of the middle class has been stepped up for the last decade. We dont receive subsidies so we are stuck paying everything. The rich receive all sorts of tax breaks, mainly because the have the money and know how to best the system. The poor receive subsidies so they remain poor because its better to receive than to earn. We, the middle class, are absolute screwed in every sense of the word. We make just enough to not receive any help, yet to little to actually do any good. Ever wonder why people in NYC who need to make twice as much as middle america to be considered middle class are not taxed differently? Why are we taxed the same as say someone in Iowa? They may be rich there, but barely middle class here. Yet , the federal government will pay its employee tons extra in cost of living adjustments to work in NYC. Have you ever received a cost of living tax break?
