I have been crucified with Christian and i no longer live , but Christ lives in me. The life i live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20. Here, Paul is clearly stating that he(Paul) has been crucified with Jesus. He has put away the old man of sin. He no longer to harbour the character of the old man. He is dead to sin. He has been forgiven and he has turned from a sinner to a forgiven saint. He no longer lives, the things found in him is no longer found in him. He has changed the way he thinks, feels and behaves from ungodly to godly. His life and everything about him has been hidden in Jesus. He no longer lives to please himself, rather he lives to please Jesus. He has accepted Jesus into his life and has submitted himself to Jesus. What a good news!! He furthermore stated that the life he lives is no longer his but Christ has taken control of him. Whatever he does is to the glory of God. He never desires to do things that will offend God. He was living in faith in the Son of God whom he never believed in. The Son of God whom he persecuted His church and thought he was serving God as he should. He stated that he lives by faith in the Son of God who LOVED him and GAVE Himself for him. Wow thats a good news. Friends of God there is no amount of sin that is greater than the blood of Jesus. If God forgave Paul of his sins, then you still gave a better chance for God to forgive you if you come back to Him and ask Him for forgiveness. Paul was a Christian when he preached this message to the Galatians. As Christians, have we been crucified with Christ or are we still carrying our old life about? There are people who profess to be Christians whose sins have not been crucified on the cross. From year to year they go on to have an unforgiving heart. They come to church and greet HAPPY SABBATH, without greeting it from their hearts. They commit all forms of sins knowingly and still answers Christians. For your sins to be crucified on the cross, you really need Jesus. You cannot go back to steal if your sins have been really nailed to the cross. When a sinners sins are nailed to the cross, the guilty sinner goes home forgiven and justified. Whenever you are forgiven and justified. The live that was seen in you(the old man which was nailed to the cross) should not exist anymore in us. Its dead already, its should not exist in our lives anymore. The reason why you live should not be to gratify your thoughts and passions, rather to gratify and glorify Jesus who is alive in Him. Every believer should live by faith in the Son of God believing that He(Jesus) has the power to cure the sickness of sin. Only through His blood can we obtain forgiveness through faith. Every believer should live by FAITH in Jesus who gave His life for us. How much did you pay Jesus to love you while you were unloveable? How much did you pay Him for dying a death you were supposed to die? Do you ever appreciate and feel sad for putting your God in such a situation? How would you respond to the love of God over your life? Would you continue in sin and misuse the GRACE of God over your life that has been bought with a costly price? Who lives in you as a Christian? Jesus or the world? As you meditate on this message, may God bless you. Amen
