I have been dieting (again!) for the last 4 weeks or so. I lost about 6 pounds; nothing spectacular, but I am losing weight. My diet mainly consists of eating healthy foods. No processed wheat flour, only whole grains when possible. My sweets consist of fresh fruit, and a small amount of dark chocolate each day. I keep a close eye on my calorie and fat intake. I feel more energetic and hope over time to add exercise to my daily routine. My goal is over the next year to try to lose about 60 pounds. (I am 10% of the way there!) I also, suffer from severe acid reflux, for which I take Prilosec every day. The last two days I forgot to take it and I have not had any episodes of reflux. Today I was in a rush and decided to have a McDonalds Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Fries. Within minutes of eating it, my body started to reject it. I got a stomach ache, a head ache and my reflux came back. Moral of the story... fast food like McDonalds is poison, avoid it at all costs!
