I have been dreading this moment but Anusikha Basu has eventually put me into this!! There are no such favourite books to me, only favourite parts and sections of each book that I have ever read. But then there are books of which I loved all the parts...and there are authors and poets whom I worship and would even gladly read their grocery lists if given a chance! Of all the books that Ive read to this day...these are the few of the many that has shaped a considerable part of Sheshadri. 1. The Bhagavad Gita. It is the reason that I exist today and the one which made me believe that we are eternal. 2. The Alchemist and Like a Flowing River, Paulo Coelho. It taught me that if you want it bad enough...you get it and Maktub. 3. Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery and Malgudi Days, R.K. Narayan. The series. Because Anne Shirley and Swaminathan are my two childhood bosom friends! I grew up with them and so did they. 4. Chander Pahar, Bibhutibhusan Bandhopadhay. It nourished the adventurous streak in me. 5. Sanchayita, Rabindranath Tagore. Beautiful is the only word. 6. Bankim Rachana Samagra, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. His novels are revelations. Each one of them. 7. Na Hanyate, Moitrayee Debi. We come, love happens; We go, love stays. 8. Bloodline and Rage of Angels, Sidney Sheldon. Elizabeth Roffe and Jennifer Parker are two enigmatic women I look up to. Rhys Williams is a character any woman would fall for. And Im in love with Michael Moretti. 9. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Stieg Larsson. The series. Lisbeth Salander, a hell of a woman. 10. Shorts Stories of Guy de Maupassant, Anton Chekhov, O. Henry, Oscar Wilde, Ruskin Bond, Khushwant Singh and many many more... There are poets whom I could not mention as the list is over. Poetry is one of the basic essentials of my life after food, clothes and shelter. And now the tagging part (all of my intellectual comrades are already tagged). Torsa Saha, Ankita Das, Ashmita Chakraborty, Sourav Chatterjee, Anurekha Chakraborty, Richard Suman, Priyam Sengupta, Asmi Gupta, Poulami Banerjee, Salwa Yahya.
