I have been holding off on expressing my opinion on the Trayvon Martin incident. Not going to make it a racial incident, unlike some others who do. I feel it was a very unfortunate and tragic event. I like to get all information before I draw any conclusions. So, here I go....Security guards are taught to only observe and report. Thats all. Confrontation should only happen when a felony is being committed, someones life is in danger, or in defense of self. A person is to only use that amount of force necessary to overcome the situation. Deadly force is defined as that amount of force, that if used, could cause death or serious bodily harm. And should only be used as a last resort, when all lesser means of force have failed. I dont know what exactly happened, I wasnt there. But I dont feel it is a racial issue. I feel it was a bad judgement issue. The question is, Who used bad judgement?
