I have been in the habit, recently, of watching ESPNFC and have been enjoying the show. After yesterdays disrespectful giggle fest during the Celtic championship winning highlights I have a very bitter taste in my mouth. They all acted like wee dicks, making infantile comments throughout and ridiculing every aspect of what was a fine performance and achievement. For some inane reason they even found the name Partick Thistle, hilarious...ffs. The die was cast early in the show with a few snide remarks about the upcoming footage. Craig Burley, the thespian that he is, drummed his fingers in mock indignation as a nations (his) and a clubs (one he played for) football was being ridiculed and then, predictably, proceeded to denigrate, along with his fellow travelers, a seasons achievement on the basis that Der Hun (a club in a state of complete moral and financial shambles) was not in contention. An absolute irrelevancy. I was happily surprised that ESPNFC were to cover the SPL championship winning game but sadly disappointed in the (lack of) style in which it was presented. I dont expect the global media to be french kissing Celtic, but I do expect a degree of dignity from them and, perhaps, a little bit of the respect which was so lacking yesterday. The host(?) along with Mariner, Twellman, Moreno and Burley should examine where they came from, where they are now, count their blessings and take a good hard look at the history of the clubs they played for...and their own trophy cabinets.
