I have been informed that both baby hummingbirds are now out of the nest :( . Im left with twinges in my heart! I KNOW this is supposed to happen, of course it is. This is natural. This is nature (I keep telling myself) But Im still feeling these little twinges. I will miss them. Ive been talking to them since they were in their little white jelly bean eggs. The mother knows me. She comes up to my face, greets me then leaves for long periods of time - knowing that I am watching her babies. Its sad and exciting at the same time when they leave the nest. I can not begin to express my enormous gratitude for this amazing experience! Off to photograph the empty nest so I can have some closure!
