I have been invited to prayers and worship at a persons house for the Jingun Sampatti Vrat Udyapan. Here is my question. I am non-Indian, but a Jain. When I attend these gatherings all the women are wearing Sarees, but I am wearing regular clothing and feel out of place. Would it be respectable, or ethical for me to also wear a Saree, even though I am non-Indian, or is it better I just continue attending in my regular clothes? I am in Canada.
