I have been looking at the word FELLOWSHIP in the New Testament Koinonia…….mon fellowship ….sharing our lives together…19 times it is mentioned in the Greak New Testament and was used when we as Christs followers met together…..This goes further than Just meeting for worship common sharing together…..being there for each other….Showing Love for each other……. 1 1 John 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our[a] joy may be complete. 2 Change that meaning to common sharing……. 3 How many of us share with other Christians… How many of us feel that just going to church on Sunday is the end all to fellowship……If that is how you feel that is not what the New Testament is telling us……..The New Testament fellowship means being there for others at all times…..Being open to finding out if someone is missing from church on Sunday is not there because of sickness or hasn’t transport or is hurting…Fellowship is being sensitive to each others situation…..Fellowship is not bringing others within the family of God under condemnation ……because of their dress or because they are not like you.. their lifestyle is beyond your bounds…….Fellowshio is not a time that you gossip about others…….The basis of fellowship is unconditional love….That you can build up not breakdown lives…..One of the reasons I set up on facebook was to be here for those that love Jesus…but do not have fellowship (common sharing) with others…….Let us bold set ourselves up to show Gods unconditional love for each othe and build each other up……..Look for those that are alone on Sunday mornings at church…..even sit with them….or during acup of tea after church look out for someone who is alone and be there for them…….What I will do is pray to God and ask that he opens my eyes at church to those that are alone and could do with a little of the love that God showers on me……Let us be attuned to Gods small voice speaking to us If someone is not at church find out their phone no and give them a ring……..If they are down or sick… find their address and visit…..There are lots of lonely people in the church many who find that the time of fellowship is the only time they have with others…make it worthwile for them…….make us a true New Testament fellowship…God bless
