I have been loving the coverage of Kate and Wills in Australia and New Zealand over the past few days – especially George’s first royal play date. She’s worn everything from an Erdem coat, Tory Birch dress to a McQueen bespoke coat – however today is my favourite outfit so far. Arriving in Australia Kate was wearing one of our favourite designers, Roksanda Ilincic, in a bright yellow design. The bespoke Ryedale wool-crepe dress, part of the London-based Serbian fashion designer’s spring/summer 2014 collection, featured a splash of white on the left side. The outfit was inspired by paintings from Brazilian artists such as Hélio Oiticica and creates a beautiful silhouette. It is believed Kate’s version of the dress could have been made specifically for her visit and to tie in with Australia’s colours as Roksanda’s collection did not feature exactly the same colour combination and design. But fear not fashionistas! Can’t do yellow (who can really – apart from Kate!?) then we have the same style but in a more wearable colour way with a nod to the Duchesses design. With a white base, fluted sleeves and a hint of yellow – the Ryedale dress is perfection. janedavidson.co.uk/kate-looks-beautiful-roksanda/
