I have been many places in my life, where I have shown kindness, forgiveness, reasonableness, mercy, grace...and weakness to peer pressure; but I did not take the name of Jesus with me for various reasons; ONE being that I perceived that most people think that people who name Jesus are hypocrites TWO being that most people have a perverted definition of Jesus...AND my view was that I should SHOW people love...instead of speaking it...WELL, that is true actions speak loudly, but without words...what do actions mean? Are they to make me look good? Or to show people JESUS grace which is out of this World. YES...my intent for quite a few years was to show people an INORDINATE LOVE, and that was Gods Love...and with my LACK of good verbal skills...(as I was slow at reading comprehension, and slow at vocabulary words all my early life) WELL THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE TONGUE...AND THE POWER OF LIFE OVER DEATH IS IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND HIS RESURRECTION POWER. The power to walk above, and away from sin is in associating ourselves with Jesus out loud...EVEN when we do not have patience, or tact...we can name Jesus and His cross...and remind people of WHO the perfect Lamb is...IT IS THE WORD (WORDS) THAT ARE LIGHT...it is not always our actions that are a light to the World...and society, and churches are TOO BENT on having us to WALK A CERTAIN WAY...ASSOCIATE A CERTAIN WAY...and think that that is reflecting the light of Jesus....THE LIGHT OF JESUS IS THE POWER OVER DEATH, IS FORGIVENESS, IS MERCY, AND YES>>> is also holiness, HOWEVER, he DID take upon Himself the sins of the World on the cross...THE SHAME OF Virtual NAKEDNESS (His clothes were rent by someone else, not by Himself) on the Cross...the Shame of Death on Cross...THEREFORE *WE CAN* walk among vipers, scorners, and revilers, and BE A LIGHT, and name the name of Jesus GRACEFULLY as Jesus would; and name the name of Jesus, and SIMPLY...DO NOT TARRY THERE...but as Scripture says, when rejected; wipe your feet, and walk away. PSALM 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the COUNSEL of the ungodly, nor standeth (carries himself) in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law doth he meditate day and night. NOTE: scorners, sinful ways, ungodly counsel...exists with some many in Churches too...not just out and about in the World...all that exists anywhere...within familys, parents and siblings...also...THEREFORE...it is good for people to have the option of their own INDIVIDUAL / INDEPENDENT space...which is what America is fundamentally about. Take the name of Jesus with you; if you believe in God, and Christs Heaven. (Lee Bob)
