I have been on the phone with the Marketplace today and the Center for Health and Human Services. You must have an application started and have had issues with errors, identity or income verifications in order to be eligible for the extention. Anyone who sent in documentation to the Marketplace it is a slow process. It is better to scan and send in the information when it is requested. Please remember if you have any life changing events, loss of job, a large increase of pay, or your unemployment has stopped, marriage or birth you need to update with the Marketplace through out the year. It could affect your taxes next year. NJFAMILYCARE applications will be reviewed and approved only by the State of New Jersey . If the State needs more information they will contact you. They do take into account entire household income when evaluating the application. Hope I have been of some help.
