I have been praying and talking with God for the last several days about a situation that reminds me of a mess. However, each time I mention it to God I see a big refrigerator with a huge finger painting on it! Then this morning the words echoed through my heart: in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength Isa.30:15 says, "“For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength”. The word "quiet" means repose--to lie down with support underneath, free from anxiety, to be calm and relaxed, to be still. Nehemiah 8:10 encourages the people not to grieve because the "joy of the Lord is their strength." There is great joy in quietness and confidence in the Lord, because there is an assurance that His salvation is enough for any circumstance I encounter.
