I have been reading some status messages and shares where it has been said that a Muslim French Policeman died trying to protect free speech. Thats outright manipulative. A policeman died doing his duty, which is to uphold law of the state which hires him. A Policeman does not make laws and therefore his death does not prove whether or not he liked the law himself. That policeman might have hated the extreme forms of religious insult in the name of free speech in his country, or he might have been cool with that. But we cant comment on it just because he was able to keep his personal opinion de-linked from the job that he had signed up for!
