I have been recently contacted by an individual claiming to be a member of the Army stationed in Iraq. He said he found me via the Cup of Joe for a joe page. He asked me to send him and members of his unit care packages through the "Army Welfare Office". I believe this person to be attempting to scam people supporting our troops and might be successful to some not quite as educated in the military. His name was Brad Scofield. He emailed me with details on how to send the packages, but it was simply a link to send $150 USD a woman named Pamela Harwood in Fenton Michigan. The email was sent from an address @usa and not usa.gov. Please be aware of this possible scam and know that the army nor any other branch asks for monetary donations sent directly to them.
