I have been searching for any information that backs up Rep. Jim Abeler for U.S. Senate claim that he saved the state of MN $3.8 Billion in tax cuts when he was HHS chair. Does anyone have it? I have looked at every state budget document I could find and in none of them does it show a reduction in HHS spending now, or in the past, or projected for the future. I dont mind if someone makes said claims, but I wouldnt mind a little proof. There are a ton of documents on the state budget that you can find on line, and none of them show any reduction is HHS spending. Is this an accounting trick saving? Check this link out. HHS is not reduced at all. mn.gov/mmb/budget/research-and-data/ Or maybe he meant cut future spending? Not sure.
