I have been seeing quite a number of shares of a supposed news story concerning Jeff Gordon .. accompanied by a lot of cruel and crude remarks by race fans. Please check sources before helping to spead sick hurtful rumors. The source of that news is EmpireSports.co, a site which simply makes fun of sports stars by publishing what the site feels is humor and satire. Think about it ... if you havent seen it on any major sports network news, havent seen it on any local sports coverage, cant find it on Jayski ... its most likely a hoax. Empire Sports is a satire website devoted to lampooning major sports figures. They make up and post tall tales, most like this one announcing some sports hero coming out of the closet. Sports Empire is fixated on spreading rumors that this one and that one and another one is gay. They should be shut down except that they use their right to free speech to do their sick so-called humor ... and they start a lot of rumors. Notice that no credible news/sports source has run this story? There is a good reason. This particular article is actually just a make fun of southerners thing. It says that the admission has upset fans in the south where rednecks tend to live ... and it quotes one Billy-Bob Benson as a typical NASCAR fan. One of the sites other lead stories this week is Tom Brady Gets Caught with Naked Pictures of Himself. LOL Other recent satirical pieces from Empire Sports include Russian Athlete Attempts Suicide in Front of Cheering Crowd in Sochi, Dog Killing Debuts As New Sport in 2014 Winter Olympics, and Tim Tebow Files Lawsuit Against NFL for Discrimination.
