I have been sitting here trying to figure out how to say what I want to say....Here goes. John was in WINN DIXIE late this afternoon. He was holding onto to the cart to walk through the store. Two young boys came running around the corner, ran slap into him causing him to lose his balance, let go of the cart and fall flat of his back in the aisle. Old older lady was trying to get him up when the Mother came around the corner demandig to know what was going on. John said Your damn kids came running around the corner and knocked me down. She was upset that he said damned kids and he said if you had been watching them and not letting them run around the store this would not have happened. She asked the boys if they did it and they just shrugged and smiled. She told them that they needed to go and John said you need to whip their butts. She said I dont spank my boys. John countered with Thats why they run around like little heathens then. The little old lady said Yup, hes right. The woman left. She did not help him off the ground. Good thing that I was not there! He is sore. He has ALS and walking alone if a challenge. I dont care if you choose to not spank your children, but they should be taught RESPECT and how to behave n public. I may know this woman because I know lots of heavy set young mothers in this town, I dont know but John did not know her. If you see this and it was your children that did this....I think an apology was called for and you shouldve helped him up. Your boys were wrong and so were you. I will pray for you just the same. Bless your heart. And poor John was upset that he said damn in public because he does not cuss so he apologizes for that.
