I have been so busy the last few weeks, I feel like I havent been able to do much other than transporting patients. I dont mind, but I am also emotionally pooped from having to deal with the frail and infirm. Would hate for anyone to fall on my watch. And so it goes... We had a very nice walk yesterday. We ran into the fellow who owns the big cottage on the end. We introduced ourselves, Frances jumped all over him. I wonder if helen keller was rude like that? Then we proceeded on our way, and the people who enjoyed the dog, are at the cottage at the end of the beach, so the dogs were talked to and greeted with a big smile and a Hey we were wondering where you were. Well here I are said jefferey as he rushed up the steps to say howdy.... I have a plexidor dog door, and yesterday around noon the spring the snaps the panel shut broke. I have had this door since probably 1993-4. It is a great door, I love it. Was expensive, but well worth the money. The only draw back... changing those damn springs. First off they are about forty bucks, so t;aint cheap, should be easy right? No way, It is always a struggle, and yesterdays was epic because I was having to work left handed, and in the dark. After just about 5.5 hours I finally had the door spring in the door realigned, and shutting. However, it is swinging sooooo slowly that I am worried frances will walk into it, so I need to get so grease and lube it up. And that folks is what I did all day yesterday for the most part. Got most of everything I need to start the filming of our walks. I am still waiting for the tether that will tie the camera to Frankies harness. So far I have a bunch of old ladies wringing their hands that 1) the camera will get lost, 2) someone will take it right off frankies back, and 3) any other terrible case scenerio you can come up with. I really think it will be rather fun and interesting to get the dogs perspectives of the walks. I really doubt anyone is going to mug poor frank in the woods and steal his camera. My mom said, but someone took his coat off him last winter. Yeah, I think frankie took his coat off last winter since it had a big old rip in it where he hung up on something. Anyway life is to short to worry about a squirrel, because the chipmunks will be hibernating soon, mugging frankie in the woods and taking his hat and coat and camera. So I will have to get underway soon as I have people to take places. I am thrilled that tomorrow I might, MIGHT be able to just stay home and breath. Oh PS gave all the dogs marrow bones so far no fighting. Daisy mae is out in the other room with two bones. Jeff and frances are on the bed together with frank(he doesn;t like bones I guess) Daisy use to start the fights over the bones, but I guess, and I think I was right, that she would not do that with Frances now in the pack. I hate to say it but Daisy Mae is afraid of Frances, so that backs her down and she is no longer so challenging about food items. I actually think the whole pack in general gives Frances the right of way in all matters. She is not the alpha though, they give way to her in terms of food, and toys, but Frank is the alpha of the pack, and I am head pecker in the pecking order as I like to say.
