I have been thinking about the border problem in Texas. It has hit me, these are children, we are supposed to take care of children. I can just, well I actually cant imagine the desperation a parent must feel to send their children on such a dangerous journey in order to get them a better life and a life in safety. Their current circumstances must be horrid to even consider this alternative. Lets try to imagine the loss they must feel and the broken hearts they must be suffering. These are not people looking to come to exploit the system, they are children and we should make room for them, not send them back. We are a compassionate people and there are thousands of loving homes that would be willing to take a child or two in. I know I would. Turning our backs on children automatically takes away any moral ground that the United States has held in the world and that is a shame.
