I have been thinking on this all day and it still hasnt set in and quite honestly I dont want it to set in!! This morn I got a call from Danny Howser which isnt odd because Danny is one of my closest friends in this world, and I didnt get to it in time so he left a message, which I assumed was probably his effort to get me to go to a rodeo with him. So I checked the message and I could tell something was off, so I called him back immediately and he told me that he didnt want me to hear it anywhere else but Patti had passed away sometime in the night...... And needless to say I had nothing to say I thought I had misheard him. I told him I was so sorry, and he told me hed call me back when he could talk and he got choked up, which choked me up, and before we hung up I told him I loved him! Yall Patti was one of my favorite folks! She always had my back and didnt mind telling folks what she thought, and I loved her for that!! Her and Danny always helped me out in any way they could. I cant begin to tell you how much money Ive won on Dannys head horse and they never asked for a dime! I genuinely love these people! And I have read all the things that folks have said about mrs patti and I know the family truly appreciate all the kind words!! All of this has made me realize 2 things apparently God had a barrel horse that he needed some help with so he called patti to whoop a tuning on this cat! And the second is this, folks ya never know when your time card will be punched so if its weighing on your heart to tell folks ya love em.......... Then do it cuz ya know what...... They prolly love you too, they just know if its ok to say it!! So Danny Howser I love you buddy and patti I love you to dear!! Farewell fine people, well meet again, in a better time and place, look toward the heaven when I cross your mind, and ya just might see my face on a cloud..... Lookin down!! RIP Patti Shook
