I have been to the funeral home to do hair and make up many times in the past. I normally only go for family or clients I know well. I even went and did Raymonds hair. Every time I pull into the parking lot and sit in my car and pray the same prayer. I pray that God will give me the skills needed to achieve something that will satisfy the family and that the person would be comfortable with. Then most importantly I pray for 45 mins of strength to get through it. Last night was the first time I have done this since Raymonds funeral. In the past there have been times I have cried all the way home or had a breakdown on the way there. I was terrified yesterday that I wouldnt be able to do it. The girl was young and her story similar to Raymonds not exactly but similar. I prayed my prayer like always and this time I prayed for her soul and her family. God gave me the 45 mins of strength and I left happy with the outcome. My point to this is..God may not always give you what you want, but he will always give you what you need to get through.
