I have been told for years that I have a “come talk to me and tell me your problems” ora/face lol which I refused to accept. But today, in my efforts to disprove the latest claims, I went to my doctors appointment with headphones, something over most of my face and staring at the TV in the waiting room. Well, an elderly woman sat next to me and began telling her life story immediately, as I began pulling my earbuds out, here comes her daughter who did the same, in less than 10 minutes, I knew which kids were in jail, who was disabled and which ones had been taken by DCS. Relieved to hear my name called, I proceeded to the back. The specialist asked for I.D. and other pertinent information, but 2 minutes later she was balling out of control. Ofcourse I asked if she was ok? She explained that all 3 of her brothers had been shot within this year. One was o.k., one died and one was paralyzed. Im done fighting it. I always thought it was some sort of fluke or coincidence, but clearly its not. Business and Accounting is my schooling. Management and Entrepreneurship is my career. Logolepsy and Poetry is my passion. But...being a Giver and an Active Listener is my gift. I gladly surrender.
