I have been told to do more ‘before and after’ images...as you know I like to comply. The first shot shows our first day on site, known as ‘the rip- out” day. Gary is using a turf-cutter to remove the old turf, Lee is on the digger creating new levels (making a ‘terraced’ look ) and Geoff is removing the old turf off-site for composting. The ground was quite heavy due to clay, but Lee used an ingenious device known as a ‘subsoiler’ or rather a large spike which fits on the digger arm and decompacts the soil, so that the new turf will perform better. The second image shows the finished garden at night from exactly the same angle. (click on images to enlarge)
