I have been torn as to whether or not to post something on my page, but I have decided to go with it. Today has been a very rough day for a lot of people that I know including myself. I have a job, in a small community where on several occasions I have had to be called to help someone I know. Today has been very different though. Not only did I know this person, but I also respected and cared as a friend to her. Many people only see the job side of me and never see the “after call” person, this is due to emotionally removing myself from whom it is, to doing what I need to do to care for the patient I am taking care of. I may look strong and hard when doing my job, but most times when I return from the call, I have a hard time with my emotions, and so as it was today, I am still dealing with the loss of someone that I could call friend. You always had that beautiful smile when I saw you and it brightened my day. I enjoyed talking with you and even helping you when you needed that as well. You will be deeply missed by many and never forgotten. Smile upon us now as God wraps his loving arms around your family and friends. May you continue to guide each of us through our everyday lives.
