I have been waiting for this day since i have been 18 and i finally did it. Today was the day.... I was up early and at UPMC Altoona by 0600. I was in the same day surgery room on the 7th floor. Prepping took place from 0615 to 0715 and I was back in the operating room by 0730. My procedure lasted until 1130, then I was in recovery until 1215 then got to head back to my room. I was then discharged at 1300. For those of you that have known me since being a teens I stuggled with self confidence because of the size of breast. Well today I had a bilateral mammoplasty ( breast reduction) surgery. Not even 12 hours after the surgery and I love it already. I keep looking in the mirror to make sure this is real. As of right now I am not in any pain just a little sick in my stomach from being under general anesthesia for several hours. But other then that I feel great! I can not wait to be able to be self confident again with my body once everything heals!
