I have been waiting to post this until all of my 2014-2015 brides had received the news, and now that they have, we can officially announce that we have moved! David began his new job at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall Texas yesterday. Everything has worked out miraculously including our Salado house being put under contract within 12 hours of listing it! We have found a new, Mid Century house that we LOVE! It has such a neat history and was previously owned by a former US congressman, Sam Hall. We are liking Marshall, although there is a lot more poverty here than in Salado. That being said, we live in a great neighborhood and have the sweetest neighbors. I will continue to travel back and forth from Marshall to Austin to finish out my booked weddings. Also, David is really enjoying his new job and colleagues at ETBU. We are 30 minutes from the Louisiana border! On another note, you all will not be seeing first day of school pictures from our family because we have decided to homeschool this first year. We will see how it goes from there. I know, send out the weirdo alert! We are excited about the opportunity to teach both Parker and Jack at the same time. There is an excellent homeschool co-op in Longview that we plan to join, and we will be getting the kids involved in as many activities as possible! So to our friends, here is your Splawn update. So much has happened in such a short period of time, that it was hard to text or call everyone in great detail!
