I have been watching media programs and reading NEWS paper regularly after 11th Jan, 14 since I am free. -_- . Got too much influenced by a columnist of The Dawn, named Mr. Irfan Hussaini. One of the main institutions required for good governance is a competent, neutral, honest bureaucracy. But at the policymaking level, job insecurity forced the civil servants to align with the political parties. Successive governments brought in their favourite civil servants to occupy key positions (Like Chairman NADRA issue). Loyalty rather than competence has become the acid test for survival. The winners in this game included political leaders and acquiescent civil servants while the losers are ordinary citizens who ceased to have access to the government and had no way of having their grievances redressed. An entrepreneur when suffers loss has to bear it rather by imposing heavy taxes on nationals. PM Nawaz is a businessman than a politician, lets see how well the amalgamation works. In past 8 months the graph curve depicting progress of Government is at declining mode.
