I have been watching this page since Tuesday night. I am about an hour SE of Atlanta and watched the unbelievable unfold on the local news. I came here to FB and found this page and although I didnt join (I didnt want to clog up the boards for those in need) I watched story after story unfold. People asking for help, people coordinating on the phone and internet with those out there to get help to them. I watched success after success story ...I have stayed up late last night to watch as local heros tried to locate and find someone who had posted about having a wreck (she was later found to be home and safe) but I watched several people from all over come together to find this woman and make sure she was safe--One out driving and looking for her, one on the phone, one on the internet..A mini-command center of local citizens concerned for anothers safety. So heart touching. I also watched as another man went out at 3 a.m. to rescue a young man who was hungry and cold. Again, mini-command center, one on the phone, one driving to get him and another updating. It was just amazing! The young man was rescued by another Angel. These are the stories of this snow I will remember. These kind, awesome everyday guys and gals pulling together. As the temps warm and the snow/ice melt, let this be our memory of this snowjam 2014.
