I have come across a very unsavoury trait with modern Objectivists these days. I cant speak of all Objectivists, of course, but there seems to be a general xenophobia that is exhibited among a great bulk of them, which is especially pronounced when it comes to Muslims. As one source states, xenophobia is the irrational or unreasoned fear of that which is perceived to be foreign or strange. This is bad enough, but mix this with a dash of Nationalism and a dab of patriotism (Jingoism, in my books) and you have a pretty ugly disposition. Let it be said, I do not condemn the Muslim people. In fact, as an anarchist I fully realize that they are just that - people. But what I do detest is any form of tyranny over the mind, be it secular or religious, and I loathe the ruling elite in any category. The theology is evil, the people are trapped...
