I have come as close as I ever will to playing Survivor. Yes, we - TopicsExpress

I have come as close as I ever will to playing Survivor. Yes, we had a port-a-potty, & yes, we were given plenty of spring water, & had canned food to forage for every morning, but these are things I have now done: I helped build a shelter with my amazing original tribe using tarps & bungee cords & whatever we could find (which ended up being more like a Harry Potter tent with rooms & wings). I have lived on water, rice & chick peas for 3 days (& some beer & wine from a steward Challenge). I can (kind of) make fire now. I found a Hidden Immunity Idol Clue in Day One of the game. I made a tight alliance & we shared the idol when found. I was part of a tribe that won challenge after challenge. I made it to a tribe swap. I made it to the merge. I was wet & cold & miserable (but secretly thrilled to be wet & cold & miserable) I bought an advantage in the game at the Survivor auction that turned our idol into the God Idol. I made it to the Final Three. I won both the final Reward Challenge (Air Mattress; partly by letting Mosquitos just have at my face) & the final Immunity Challenge (Instantly in the Final 2; tile pattern memory challenge) I faced a jury, & was very emotional (I really needed to eat something substantial). I felt the blow of losing to a fellow competitor at Final Tribal Council, 4-3. I competed in some other classic Survivor challenges: the Knock Your Opponents Idol To The Ground First, the Balance a Ball on a Plate at the Top of a Pole, the Wring Out As Much Water From Your Person Into This Bucket as you Can, the Guide Your Blindfolded Tribemates to Bags of Puzzle Pieces & Complete the Puzzle, the Maneuver Around Your Tribemates While Balanced on a Beam in the Water, Untying Knots for Days... When will I ever have that experience again? I guess next year when I do it all again?
