I have come to a decision tonight that from now on IF I rehome anymore animals home from home they need to be spayed/neutered before leaving the owner and a contract will be signed by the new owner before rehoming,there will also be a follow up visit done to make sure everything is going well and if im not satisfied the animal will be removed,i will also expect a voluntary donation which will be used to cover rehoming and petrol cost etc im doing this to protect the animal and myself from any further upsetting situations that sometimes seem to arise and I cant cope with being distraught, not very many people seem to realise that when the animal leaves its home it then becomes my responsibility and its a huge responsibility for someone like me who has no charity backing etc and also the turmoil I seem to sometimes find myself in, I take the responsibility very seriously and when things go wrong I just feel like throwing in the towel so I need to set some rules for and if I rehome in future, I do all my rehoming voluntarily and it takes up hours of my personal time,money and a lot of the time at the cost of my relationship and I cant let it continue the way it is, im also going to have to be tougher as I feel im to soft and then take it out on the people who matter most to me, I have always got a homecheck done before rehoming any of the animals that have crossed my path and have always spayed/neutered /vet treated any pound dogs or foster animals ive taken on so I expect owners to have done the same for their animals before rehoming
