I have completed my civic duty by sitting on a jury for the past 9 days... This was an incredibly fascinating experience - one which I will remember for years to come. We had something happen that has only happened in three cases (that the judge knows of) since 2007 - when it happened for the first time! Drama in the jury room... Fascinating... I think I have some material to write about... I am still digesting the whole process and releasing stress that has crept into my entire body during this unbelievable experience. Thankfully, the judge had a great sense of humor as did several of the court officers. To lighten the mood the other day I was asked to sing a song from a show I had done... I obliged, and sang Matchmaker, which was requested - yes, I did the solo version of the trio... That might have been a first... Lunch today at Nom Wah Tea Parlor was a particular highlight of the day as were the sponge cakes that I picked up at a Chinese bakery and shared with my fellow jurors.
