I have debated and debated this morning on making this post because I think there comes a point where you never forget but you dont acknowledge. However, I decided that this year it is an appropriate post because several people close to us are beginning or in the heart of their battle with this monster we call cancer. Three years ago today our family received the most devastating news we could have ever imagined, Beth had cancer. Beth was five and going to kindergarten, how could she have cancer? I truly thought my heart would break for my sister and brother-in-law. As a big sister it was my job to protect her and fight for her but I could not protect her from this pain. I have never felt such helplessness. Today three years later Beth Ann Brown is cancer free, finished with treatment, and living the life of a normal now 8 year old princess. In fact, today she is at the zoo with her cousins and little brother living life to the fullest. She doesnt even realize what this day signifies. If that isnt inspiring I dont know what is. So for those of you in my prayers every night, Tina Webb, Lena Mallar, Bridgettes Faith, and Stefanie Rodgers, there is power in prayer. God hears us and he is working miracles everyday. Keep fighting!
