I have decide to start writing again. Creatively! Of course I never really stopped writing, pfft! Im now willing to write for third-party readership/viewership. I would have said I have no reason for stopping and resuming that, but common . . .theres always a reason. Topic for another day though. I can however talk about precipitants that catalyzed that decision. Some of them are: My brother, Edozie Mbah challenged me! Publicly! (see comment on post below). He coyly but cleverly requested that I write a poem in Igbo. If you know me, you know thats like asking me to carve a stone using wood. But I accepted the challenge, quietly. Then, theres this short-story that wont let me rest. Putting it that way makes it sound disturbing. But, what can I say? So Im going to write it anyways. Also, back in the days (the write-a-poem-everyday-days), I used to write poems for and about people and friends. Well, . . . that source of inspiration/motivation dried out. But now... ;) Im seeing reasons to rethink it. Yeah, which brings us back to those reasons - topic for another day. So... I have three projects for this week. One for my brother, one for Abdul Kabir Abu Irfan and one for Njeri Chelimo (now you see what I was talking about. And no, I wont be sending that short-story yet.) Oh! I almost forgot. I read this article by Nnedi Okorafor (who is awesome by the way) about the need for and importance of African SciFi which just blew me away, because I was thinking in that direction. Id also be resurrecting my blog. Well sort of... It was about time I did that! *Dusts off blank scroll* *gets peacock feathers and cup of ink* *wears bispectacles* *edited* Scribbles...
