I have decided to really explore total unknowns in this newest tag to post art I love in a 3 Day Challenge of Landscapes by my friend Vaughan Clements!! thanks, V. It has been quite an exploration and my mind and heart are dizzy and buzzing with admiration. As an artist, I struggle with limited palette pieces, my personal preference but due to work with color saturation and diversity which sells better I too often sell myself short. Its sad. I am re-committing to Me thanks to this artist. Please look at, for instance, Forest In Winter........so very simple .... or IS IT....? A lover my entire life of the moody, approaching storm, dank, misty, depressing times as much as or more than the bright and sunny, I adore his extremely well-developed sense of place in these images. I find such peace here and I can smell the air. I did choose the last image in contrast and again.....so simple. Color and stroke, no overwork, actually underworked.....simple? HA! Said of this amazing man by an art collector, devotee and blogger He must have had a deep soul, a love of mystery, melancholy, and music, and a keen sense of natures moods that must have come from long walks through the countryside. This painting couldnt have been done by a flippant, urbane, or shallow person. (this said of Frame#3, EARLY SNOW) Please enjoy and delight my Day 1 choice Konstantin Yakovlevich Kryzhitsky Born in Kiev, UKRAINE 1858-1911-
