I have defined a micro-slip as a transient quantum event in which an individual moves from his or her alpha time line onto an adjacent time line that is virtually identical, with the net result being that when he or she moves back onto his or her alpha time line, he or she recognizes discrepant data, such as the death or non-death of a celebrity. These happen quite frequently. When we return to the kitchen, the coffee mug that we placed next to our laptop on the kitchen table is now back next to the coffee machine on the counter top. They happen so frequently because the threshold that divides virtually identical dimensions is highly permeable and we readily move between them. -- Andrew D. Basiago
