I have felt, for quite some time, that the most effective long-term method of doing global battle against Islamic extremism and the hatred and violence it engenders, is not by waging a full scale War on Terror or by the broad-brush, monolithic labeling of all Muslims as evil, but by supporting those followers of Islam who advocate for tolerance and peace. Prop them up and give them whatever they need to help change the world by sharing and spreading their wisdom. There is no better example of this kind of person than Malala Yousafzai. Congratulations Malala and as-salamu alaykum PS- Lest you think Im some pie-in-the-sky, naive, uber-pacifist, Ill say that I would find great joy in learning that a team of Navy SEALs had infiltrated an ISIS camp and left nothing moving but the wind, but that doesnt contradict or diminish my preceding words.
