I have figured it out. The amount of time I admire someone is directly correlated to the extreme to which I make an arse out of myself in front of them. First time I met Robert Barton Englund I had this photo idea where he would drape the glove over the heart tattoo on my inner right wrist. He then tells me that I am blocking my light whilst pointing it out :-/ I laugh now but I was terribly embarrassed back then though you wouldnt know it in the photos because I look as thrilled as I truly was! I have loved him & his work since I was fairly young so case in point. This weekend I had an idea when I met Dwight that quickly went South and I have adored him for 20 years. Much more to come on this particular subject. He was an absolute delight but I was really intimidated. It was one of those deals where ya take two steps & there he was, no warm up hallway walk or anythin. So he asked my name & shook my hand & then we took the pic. I presented my idea & saw it was provoking a Huh? sorta reaction so I went into Fight or Flight & very quickly took Flight. I am very happy I had the opportunity but I cant wait to do it again (right) next time. I had not much of an issue strolling up to Cary Elwes & asking him to sign my arm so I could get it tattooed. I loved him all my life but I really got into all his work after SAW which was 2004 and about 6 years later I got that chance & took it. With all the light this post offers I must also address our recent loss. Oh Captain, my Captain. I will always remember how much joy Robin brought to my family through his roles and comedy specials through the years. One of a kind, truly missed. Also taking time today to remember Buck Owens. A very influential figure and best friend to Dwight and the entire world of country music, he is still missed. I wont disrespect these parts by interjecting my own personal drama but I will say that driving is something I have always taken for granted but no more. I also have a new respect for those who walk places out of necessity. Hope everyone is well
