I have found the place for my next summer rental---Guanajuato. It had been at least 30 years since I had been there and I love the fact that it is little changed. Oh, the streets are smoother and the Centro Historico, the historic district, is closed to automobile traffic for easy strolling, the shopping is great, and the streets are full of beautiful and interesting young (and old) people. There is an air of sophistication mixed with a throwback hippie, maybe even beatnik, feeling. The view of the city from up high begs to be a jigsaw puzzle. Ill write about this fascinating city and its food on my zarela soon but wanted to share these pictures with you.
