I have got to take some time to express my appreciation to all of the Chicago and beyond (Michigan!), friends and family who came out to last nights HISTORY OF FREESTYLE MUSIC Concert in Chicago. You all came out strong, and as I said on the mic, what an incredible thing to see EVERYONE come together for time in appreciation for the music of our lives. The ladies always find their way to the foot of the stage, and sing along to the Legends and their classic cuts. The thing about last night was the men...thats right, THE MEN! They were singing, clapping, stomping, whooping it up in ways that I have not really seen in my more than 25 years in the Freestyle movement. Once upon a time, the ladies wanted to go to the shows,a nd the guys kind of tagged along. Not last night. Last night, the Legends, the Ladies, the Men, and the Fans were all in sync - it was great to see and feel, and an honor to be a part of, lost voice, y todo. Thanks to the promotion, and to the Legends: Brenda K Starr , Cynthia Todino , Safire Fan Page , Lil Suzy , Judy Torres , Stevie B Hill , and the up and comer, Paloma. Always a pleasure to work with Chicago Classics Tim Schommer , Martin Martin Luna III Boogieman Luna, Joe JammasterC , Mike 2 Smooth, DJ Emmanuel, Mario Reyes , White Knight, Juan 2 Big Perez, and all of you who attended, may have not been able to, or whose name I forgot to tag, like Vic Pazmino , who came up to be during the event showing much respect...History was made, as only Chicago can do...THANK YOU. Please feel free to post/tag/upload your pictures and/or concert footage - here, or on the History of Freestyle Music Facebook. Great time, great people, great talent...
